   Clinics. I just downloaded this and was “assigned” to a clinic that I’ve never brought our pets to. There doesn’t appear to be an option to remove or change this.

   Apple: please let me leave 0 stars. I wonder how many animals this app/system has led to the death of. Two fatal flaws: 1. It ARCHIVES conversations inappropriately. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve explained something in detail in a message to my vet, and then Otto archived it randomly and the vet is like “Uhhh I’m not sure what you’re talking about” and then I have to explain it again. Other times, it does it in the middle of a conversation. It doesn’t help that when I expressed frustration over this, my vet’s office was like “Sometimes we archive things; sometimes the app does it. If you want a better experience? Call us on the phone.” 2. It MERGES conversations—doesn’t let you have multiple conversations with the vet going at once. It has happened to me numerous times. Each time I complain to my vet and say “Please don’t forget the first thread!” and every time they forget. Nightmare. For example, earlier today I started a chat with my vet sending a video that shows my cat might be having a seizure. They need to leave the conversation open, so that the woman at the desk can get my vet to look at it/respond to it tomorrow (there’s a low probability she’ll remember—but that’s not an Otto problem). Then, I started a SEPARATE conversation tonight asking them to confirm that each of my cats received 4 very specific tests—and Otto MERGED THIS into the other conversation!!! So then I sent a message to my vet begging them to not forget the first topic, about the video. I said, “Since Otto can’t stay organized, I hope you guys can.” (Again, they forget every time, so…) Also, is it just my vet’s setup, or does Otto not have a section for viewing your pets’ medical records period? Insanity. Shame on this terrible thing. I posted this on Google Reviews, too. And I will probably leave a similar review mentioning Otto on Google Reviews for my vet. And I may stop going to this vet.

   awful. i left my vet for making me use this absolutely awful app. no support whatsoever and the app functionality is a joke. absolutely useless support. these guys need to be kicked off the app store.

   Works sometimes. I put in an order for a med for my dog and it worked fine. Now when I try to go back in to see the response, I just get a blank white screen. This happens frequently and I end up having to call the vet office. So where is the convenience?

   Great concept, poor execution. This app is a great concept but I would not consider it a final product by any means. It could be such an effective communication bridge between client and patient but just falls short. If you are lucky enough to launch into the app and not the white screen of death, you will most certainly experience unhandled errors. The user experience is poor at best. Not sure how this app has such high ratings? Bot farm perhaps?

   This app is bad and barely works. I never write reviews, but this app is so ridiculously bad I had to say something. It barely ever works properly, often crashing if it even starts to begin with. It's clunky, hard to use, and inconsistent. I have no idea why vet apps are bad across the board, but this is no exception.

    Blank blank blank. This app doesn’t work most of the time. It takes you to a blank white page and you can’t get out. I’ve deleted resubmitted reset my phone. It doesn’t matter what you do most of the time it does not work. I am unable to do anything with this app. I cannot send or retrieve messages, make an appointment — I’m not sure why we have to switch to Otto. I think all the vets out there using making their clients Otto are being scammed because this app is nothing but frustration .This app is a dud. I am seriously considering switching vets so that I don’t have to use Otto.

    Horrible communication tool. My dog was recently spayed and ended up with an infection (inside). In trying to communicate with my vet, Otto kept closing out conversations. I contacted them multiple times every day for a week, but had to keep starting new conversations because I couldn’t respond to existing ones. The vet was constantly missing concerns and didn’t realize how long she was having problems because the conversations kept closing, until she got so bad she had to be hospitalized. They just now responded to a question from last week - from before my dog was hospitalized (way too late). Otto is a horrible communication tool that I would not recommend to anyone who wants to keep their pet alive.

    Some of the features are useful. Show me the features are useful, but they tend to raise more questions in the answer and the interface is confusing. I bet a second version would be awesome.

    No alters. I love the idea of this app and the ease of sending messages but you need to fix something. I do not get any alters (text or email) when my vet sends me messages or replies to ones I have sent. I have all notifications checked and on for my phone.

    Bad chat experience. The unnecessary GIF and emoji icons crowd out valuable space in the text entry field for chat. Mobile keyboards already have ways to get to emoji and I imagine most people don't want to send reaction gifs when their dog dies.

    Otto. It’s hard to make an appointment. There’s no way to just check what day you want. It’s much harder to put in medicine because you have to go look up the type of medicine. It doesn’t have a list for you to check check off of. I have to constantly check in through the vets office.

    Not a good user experience. I don’t typically write reviews, but since this is the only way my dogs vet communicates, I’m obligated to use it and want this to be a better experience. The app is not very responsive for a mobile app. When I try to view the conversations between my vet and myself the text bubble is shown above the convo and out of my screen, so I literally cannot view it, as the scrolling is wonky and doesn’t allow me to scroll up. When I get an email of the correspondence, it’s truncated, so I am not able to read it there as well. The only what I can view the entire message is via SMS. But then I’m obligated to go into the app to respond. I find this app quite frustrating and poorly built.

    Too many bugs. This app is so buggy. Constantly crashes and won’t restart on its own so have to restart phone. Will not send messages to my phone anymore either.

    Worst app ever. Why my vet is using this piece of garbage is beyond me, I am still waiting for a text from 4 days ago and now waiting for an email link (WHY?). Vet clinic if you are paying for this and your clients can’t even access it you are wasting valuable money!!! Hire another clerk to handle scheduling. Garbage garbage garbage… your bug fixes by the way didn’t work!!!!

    Can’t log in. When I open the app it tells me send myself a link via email to log in. When I open the email it has a link that says “open in Otto”, but it redirects to Chrome and I can access my account in the web browser. The app is stuck on a page that only lets me send myself links. At least I can use the web app instead. Not sure how to actually use this mobile app.

    Not inuitive. All the app lets me do is put in my email or phone number, sends a link to one of those and opens a Safari tab on my iPhone. Finally got it to actually use the app itself. Not intuitive to the “not so technically knowledgeable” people out there. Thankfully I’m not one of those, but done loads of UI testing for years professionally.

    Designed for vets, not for clients. This is the least intuitive app ever to be put out on iOS. When my vet sends multiple appointments to be confirmed, it defaults to the latest one and archives the rest before I can confirm them. Now another vet wants me to use it, but I can’t sign up with them bc Otto defaults to the original vet. This app is garbage. Would give zero stars if I could.

    App constantly crashes. It’s a crap shoot o. Whether or not the app will open or simply sit on a blank, white screen. 9 times out of 10 it presents a blank screen and there’s nothing you can do other than force quit the app. If it does open, the moment you click either a preferred day or click ‘done’ to dismiss your keyboard you are again presented with a blank white screen that does nothing. As a UX/product designer this is very disappointing to see what could be a convenient service rendered useless by poor design and engineering.

    Trash. I was forced to download this app; after vet is no longer using Petpro Connect. This is useless. My dogs records NEVER transitioned and then on top they have another’s persons email address as mine. Useless app. I wish they use another.

    Horrible, time consuming app. My vet practice recently moved from another app to this one. I know it’s not constructive to say I hate it, but I hate it! I shouldn’t have to click on a link in a text message and then a specific message and then click another link to get information on my dog or to get reminders of appointments. In this day and age, it’s ridiculous how cumbersome this app is.

    Crashes when I do anything. This app has potential - I can see my dog’s basic information and get the vet info for sharing with others. I can’t send a message or request appointments though, as that’s when the app crashes. It also doesn’t have records uploaded, so I can’t provide proof of vaccines. I love my vet clinic and trust them. I wish this app did what it was supposed to! I hate having to take up the receptionist’s time by calling when the potential for sending requests electronically is there.
