An editorial reading of the saved reviews
People genuinely love this app, it is cheap, gives long write-ups about each constellation with links to read more, and kids and grandkids happily learn the sky with it. But many hit the same flaw, the compass is off and the map shows the wrong direction, forcing you to drag the screen by hand. Some also see moon phases and positions lag behind because it has not been updated in a while.

What people use it for
A family or beginner who wants to cheaply read about constellations and learn the sky with kids
What reviews praise
Inexpensive, detailed write-ups and links for every constellation, kids and grandkids happily learn the sky, accurate object identification once set up
What reviews complain about
Compass is off, the map shows the wrong direction and you must drag the screen by hand, moon phases and positions lag from infrequent updates, behaves oddly when switching the AR camera
What users experience
1 excerpt from the breakdown. These are individual cases, not a verdict on all users.
I’m looking at the Moon about 45degrees about the horizon and am told it is way below the horizon. I’m guessing that there is some way to calibrate but can’t find how to do that.
