But after the ViewRanger takeover the app became complicated and unreliable: lifetime users had their paid maps cut off, it overheats the phone and drains the battery, and support does not reply.

Outdoor active bought view ranger, and has now disabled features for lifetime users who paid for maps. Makes it’s virtually unusable.
They ruined the app. So complicated. Nothing works anymore. Constantly quitting and restarting the app as you get ‘lost’ in it.
