Those who got the hang of it value drawing their own routes, exporting .gpx for Garmin, and 3D route videos. But after the ViewRanger takeover the app became complicated and unreliable: lifetime users had their paid maps cut off, it overheats the phone and drains the battery, and support does not reply.
