Tripadvisor is strong as an aggregator of ratings and place attributes, but disappoints as a trip planning tool: the list view was removed in favor of a map, saved trips are hard to reach, and data on closed venues is not updated in time. Discovery works. End-to-end trip support does not.

Long time user. I have found the app incredibly useful when visiting a new city. Unfortunately the app will no longer show a list of sorted and filtered options. The only way to view results is on a map. I do like the map when looking for things close to me. Unfortunately this map view is
Trip Advisor is great but uses a lot of data! Useful for research but slow and data heavy, which can be problematic when traveling. Recommend creating a low data mode to save time, data, and battery power.
Trip advisor doesn't post ALL reviews that are submitted even if they are 100% truthful based on real experiences with a business. So don't bother using this site as a consumer because they lie. You are not seeing the true rating of places because they are purposely removing bad reviews without reas
Always check the App out to see how places are rated and how people are treated when they go somewhere to eat or stay.
I use TripAdvisor for my trip planning with 110 countries and all 50 states under my belt. Great reviews of relevant hotels, restaurants, and attractions. I have written over 2300 reviews with attention to all types of accessibilty concerns. Now my reviews are being cut short. I have searched
