It breaks exactly where it matters most, on the water: the app hangs on a blue screen, demands a connection and won't open without cell data at the river, and offline is capped at 750 tiles. Coverage is very uneven nationwide, near-empty in Maine and Florida, all against complaints about price and post-update glitches.

I fish in Wisconsin’s driftless area where there’s limited cell service at times. That means no maps, etc to help orient to where you are. TroutRoutes must be satellite... No matter where I’m at, I can see in real time as I move upstream.
Offline maps are useless when you are limited to 750 tiles. Overall, you’re paying for the data.
