The basic lesson structure of phrase, translation, native-speaker audio, and writing practice works. Main weakness: beginners are dropped into sentences without an explanation of the alphabet, and the speaking practice feature is not available for all languages.

I used Ling for a year to supplement language study (Mongolian), pick up languages adjacent to those I'm familiar with (Lao & Malay), and dabble a bit with languages in places I was traveling to (Albanian, Bulgarian, Estonian).
