Pregmate solves a specific problem: it scans photos of ovulation test strips (and pregnancy tests) and outputs a numerical LH-to-control-line ratio. This removes the subjectivity from reading strips. Several users with PCOS and irregular cycles say this is the only way they can tell when ovulation happens without expensive clinic monitoring. The period and symptom tracker works as a companion feature. One clear downside: after a confirmed pregnancy, the app does not switch to a pregnancy tracking mode.
