Stir: Single Parent Dating App

Everything Match Group is garbage. Stir sells itself of being for parents to help manage their time. It then forces you to waste your time swiping through countless profiles hundreds of miles outside of your preferences. I live in a relatively large city, but according to Stir, there are zero options less than 70 miles away.

App ignores filters to try and keep you swiping. Trash, put a maximum distance in, and the app completely ignores it. I put in maximum 50 miles, I saw 3 profiles within the 50 miles (there's about 300,000 people within those 50 miles) and everything else was 150-500 miles away... completely and utterly trash.

Full of bugs. Says I’m entering the wrong email though I’m still receiving like notifications to that exact email. On top of that, when you CAN get on moderation is absent, they spend more time responding to reviews than actually looking at profiles. AI for moderation is a joke and security concern.

Likes. Shouldn’t have to pay to see likes

Garbage. Too many fake accounts and the distance filter does not work.

Bugs. The way too many glitches and bugs extremely disappointed

Ghost Site. Good luck getting any responses. Allot of these profiles are either fake or no longer active. Clickbait to buy more.

Eh. Facebook dating is so much better!

Won’t respect location or distance. I’ve strictly set my location and distance and 99% of the time the app will simply ignore it. These are dealbreakers. This app is for single parents. WHO IS TRAVELING HUNDREDS OF MILES TO DATE. This is a stupid oversight that literally every other dating app has solved. It’s completely useless if this isn’t t fixed.

Not great. A lot of weird people on here who just want to hookup right away. Hardly anyone replies and when they do they’re inappropriate.

Not good at all. If I could leave the app zero stars, I would I set my search parameters for what I’m looking for so it tells me nothing matches my search parameters then in my featured section the same exact type of person that I’m looking for in my search parameters pops up and they tell me I can’t speak to them without super liking them. This has happened to be three different times they are doing everything in their power to get you to spend money very disappointed

Limited people in my area. Great concept, however the algorithm shows me people in different states and different countries when my distance range is set to 25 miles.

Not worth the time or money. Even with distance set at 100 miles, I get shown people that are hundreds of miles from me in different states. Some 10 hours from where I live. At this point Facebook dating is more useful

No nearby matches. Don’t waste your time or money on this app. You won’t get any potential matches within 5 hours. You will spend countless frustrating hours on here and they will only show people 4.5 hours or farther away.I even have a paid subscription!I never leave reviews, good or bad, but thought this was so bad it was worth doing.I take partial responsibility for this though.I had a paid subscription before and had this happen last time too.I even emailed their support and expressed my concerns. So, I should have learned my lesson. Shame on me.

Waste of money. This app does not give you no matches in your area i subscribe, thinking it was gonna change, but still same search results smh 1 out of 50 people they prompt you with is in your area even if you change filters makes no sense along with they try to persuade you to other apps that are not parent apps make that make sense smh

Free option is a joke. I legitimately went through 250+ profiles and STILL wasn’t shown someone in my STATE.

Overpriced. The rates on this app are incredibly unreasonable.

Banned right away. I was banned from the application and I didn’t even get to make any swipes. This is a bad dating application. I don’t recommend it.

Horrible!. I downloaded this app because my friends said that it would be a good way to meet somebody who’s understanding of the fact that I’m a single full-time parent of four kids and at First setting everything up didn’t seem too bad, it said that it had to pend approval of my photos, which was weird because it was a picture of me at Disney. But I said everything up and came back a little while later and it said that I had some likes, but it won’t let me see a single thing or a person interested in me unless I pay for the app, what’s the point of having a dating app if you can’t see the people that are interested in you. I understand having to pay for premium options, but that wasn’t the case. Not a fan deleted it immediately.

Horrible App. Not a single response. They keep showing the same profiles. I have cancelled my membership. Please don’t waste your money. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP AND WASTE YOUR MONEY. MOST PROFILES DO NOT EVEN EXIST.

Worst. This is the worst and most annoying dating app I’ve ever used. Its algorithm was just shooting in the dark. Way too many annoying notifications redirecting to the website and asking for money.

ROMANCE SCAMMERS. Be aware ladies, there are romance scammers on this app praying on women who are a single Parent. Do not download teams app or zangi. They will claim they on military leave and etc. Be Aware.

Don’t bother.. Stupid app that throttles you with people nowhere near you while hiding all the people that are near you and requiring payment to see the people in your area who showed interest. Complete money grubbing BS.

Horrible customer service. Been trying to cancel my membership for months and I can figure out how or get in touch with someone !

Stole. They banned my account right after giving them $30

Distance. The app is showing me so many people from out of state I haven’t even matched with the people that have liked me yet.

Distance issues aren’t a glitch, but a feature purposely designed to force you to buy premium.. Go through the reviews and you will see the vast majority of ratings are 1 or two stars with the same complaint: distance. Yet somehow it has a rating of 4.3 stars. All dating apps are scams designed to force you to pay for expensive monthly subscriptions. Stir is far and away the worst. Since joining in 2022 there have been times I’ve had upwards of 50 or so likes with only about five or six matches at a time. The only settings I use are a distance of 30 miles (in the middle of a large metropolitan area with a population of about 5 million) and a significantly wide age range of 30–49. Usually within 10 or less swipes the app will EXCLUSIVELY show profiles from hundreds of miles outside of my settings. Not 5, not 50, hundreds yet I still can’t seem to find any new matches. Weird, huh? THIS IS NOT A GLITCH, IT’S A FEATURE designed extract money by conning its members into paying for a premium subscription. People who already have difficulty finding a partner due to the stigma of having kids; just so you can see your hidden likes. Don’t let these grifters separate you from your money. You’ll have much more success on literally every other dating app. This is my third time trying to submit a review. Somehow the previous two failed to post. Hmmm

Don’t download. Waste of time , I created a profile just for it to be deleted within 2 hours without an explanation.

Horrible. This app is horrible! I thought it was a great option as a single parent but after using it it’s very flawed. You set the distance from you area and I was getting people in Ontario Canada. I’m probably a 1000 miles from there. I get matches and scroll through but never find my match. It’s a scam for you to pay for premium. This is such a sham of an app and there are a lot of bots. DO NOT USE THIS APP IF YOU ARE SERIOUS!

Stir sucks. I am very disappointed in this app. First off, it made up a name for me and it never allowed me to change it even after reaching out to the company. And then majority of the that I saw on here don’t even live in the state where I live in. I don’t recommend this app at all. waste of money.

Distance. I mean the odds are probably low. But I genuinely couldn’t find a single parent that lived in my state. Even with the adjustment slide distance to a local 30 miles, I’m still getting women WAYYY out of my state. Like NY, GA, NJ, etc. I guess the app just doesn’t work.

90% out of state matches. This app is bottom of the barrel and basically gives you 1000 matches that are out of state, not even in a 300 mile radius of where you list. Do not waste your download time let alone money.

Bots, bots everywhere. I get more fake profiles than actual people. I have met some nice people off here in the past, but now the majority have been scammers. Pay attention to the same generic info they put in their profile. You will notice a pattern.

Ignores distance.. This app always ignores your distance preference. It would constantly show me matches within thousands of miles. It also only has a few basic parameters to filter people out but ignores them anyways. A pretty but pointless dating app.

Location. Rarely shows the matches within your distance preference. Do not recommend.

AI dating app. It seems like it’s a bunch of pictures on there, but you’ll actually talk to people. I just want you to pay for it and hoping you’ll meet someone but you don’t.

Garbage. They don’t have the following to support certain areas. Which means they have fake accounts liking your profile to lure you into buying the membership and then you find out they are from a totally different state. None of my recommendations are near my location and yes I know how to update the area. Still nothing.
