Don’t trust this App!!!. Don’t trust this App. They lost all pictures we’ve been together since 2015.

Pretty good… until it wasn’t.. This app was fine for a while. Then one day I signed in and 90% of my photos and chats were gone. Years and years worth of photos and convos gone. I messaged them 5 times over the last month and haven’t heard one word back. RUN! DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP! Unless you don’t care about having your data gone and like terrible customer service that never gets back to you.

Support is non existent. Support is terrible and non existent. Sent them multiple emails and requests regarding a problem but they never replied. What a nightmare.

Need help!. Every file uploaded over 3 months ago are just grayed boxes in the app. This has never happened before. Been using this app for over 5 years. Did all my photos get deleted??? Reached out to email for support and no response. beware

Extremely Disappointed. They lost a lot of users precious memories and pictures. I haven’t been compensated either in any way, shape, or form. I’m still grieving the loss of memories that I’ll never be able to get back.

DO. NOT. DOWNLOAD.. My wife and I used this for years. Has over 40,000 photos os us. One day, they had a “glitch” that deleted 38,000 PHOTOS!! YEARS WORTH!! My wedding photos included!! They didn’t reach out. They never apologised. They never replied to any of my emails. I had to search for hours for any information. Idk if they’re deleting reviews speaking up about it or what, but it is absolutely disgusting. Thousands of photos. Thousands of videos. Thousands of memories. Literally ALL GONE without any type of response. Horrible.

All of our photos are lost!. Do not trust the app. Because of the system error, our photos and cherished moments are completely deleted and cannot be recovered and that's without any backup. We did not even receive any notification email about this deletion before it happened so maybe we can back up the information somewhere else or maybe we even can consider buying the plus version! There is only a small declaration notice in the app and without checking the app on a daily basis or actively searching for such deletion notification, you won't even know there's such a big system problem! Having been using this app for 8 years I'm completely devastated and disappointed!

Deleted photos. Adding my one star to the others for deleting all memories older than 3 months. Can’t get ahold of anyone. Super dissapointing.

Video messages no longer work. My wife and I have used this for years and have loved it but for the last year or so, I can no longer send videos - it keeps telling me that it is no longer supported. It’s sad to see such a fun feature disappear. We now no longer use the app

Nearly perfect app. I will answer your question of “why only one star?” In just a moment. First off I have to say that my partner and I were looking for an app that did exactly what this one does. We tried several apps and this was the one. Loved all of the features, especially the shared calendar. Loved the peace of mind we had that we were only sending messages to each other. Completely removing that odd paranoia for us. The one thing that takes this from a perfect app to a 1 star app is the fact that after paying for lifetime premium, EVERYTIME I open the app there are red dots in two places implying that something is unread. When I tap on those places I am informed about a new sticker/pack that is available for purchase. I get that those red dots are to increase engagement. But after paying that much money to still be advertised to feels like a genuine crime. Please make it so those red dots can be at the very least turned off, after premium purchase or don’t make them a thing. I don’t mind that you sell extras. But please do not advertise them to me after paying for the app. Doing so would make this an easy 6 star app for me.

The Images not Load !!!. Many of our album photos not load !!!

DO NOT trust this app.. Since 2017, my husband and I used Between as our photo and video album. Every precious experience (including our photos from our wedding and honeymoon) got stored there, with the understanding that it was safe storage. We loved the format of the albums. We looked back at our memories frequently. Today, Between informed users that all non-paying users had their photos and videos deleted by accident and the data is not recoverable. Nothing but an apology has been offered for this devastating loss. DO NOT TRUST BETWEEN WITH YOUR CHERISHED PHOTOS AND CONVERSATIONS.

No ads if you pay? Lies.. It advertises that you will not receive any ads if you pay for the premium version. However, once you pay for the premium version, you realize that the only ad you can remove is the home banner. The app continues to notify you constantly to pay for stickers. It’s constant spam, while using the app. I get it. The creators of the app want to keep making money off of sticker purchases. But…if folks pay for the premium version to avoid ads, then get rid of all the ads. Yes that includes your ads/constant notifications buy stickers. Super lame.

Horrible. Positive reviews are from years ago. This is a horrible app. Interface is poor, functionality is poor, privacy is poor. Run!

Pew Pew Mochi. Please get rid of the giant mochi pointing a gun in my face during startup. I love the app but am leaving a 1 star review in hopes that you see this. I can’t find any contact information otherwise.

Notification Issue. Great app have been using for years. However all of a sudden my notifications will just disappear without me even checking them. My partner has sent me messages and I have no idea for a while until I go into and check myself. This is a pretty frustrating issue and I can’t be the only one dealing with this. Please fix it. I have spent money on this app, shouldn’t be happening.

Too many adds on free. Doesn’t make sense. It’s the same as texting app. Maybe the calendar is useful but the other features are the same as texting app features or less due to free version. Get Life360 instead 💕

Heart Store not working.. Not sure how anyone missed this; your heart store and sticker store do not work. Fix it.

Between Keeps Us Connected When We Live Apart. Update: We really enjoy using this app because of the stickers that enliven the conversation. However, there hasn’t been new stickers for Ivy and Gray for the longest time. It is extremely disappointing. I love this app!!! It’s the perfect accompaniment to our couple bubble. It feels like a private channel between you and the love of your life. It’s also very useful for archiving favorite photos and coordinating calendars. But the best part??? The cute stickers that are available for purchase. The characters are absolutely adorable. Just wish they had more Ivy and Gray interactive stickers. This is an app I see us having for life.

Crashes at the most inconvenient times.. All I get is crashes when I really need to reply. Fix this. It’s constant.

Honest Review To Gain Traction On Between's Updates. I'm giving the current version of the Between a 1 star because of the recent transfer of ownership of Between. Ever since the ownership of Between was switched over and every time I perform an update in the IOS store, the theme I have set would revert back to the default Theme. I was hoping this was just a change of management issue on the company end. But this has been happening for over 8 updates already in a span of 6 months. I tried using the support option on the App, but that feature in itself has issues too. But that's for another review. Before the change of ownership this s was easily a 5-STAR ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️app. But having to constantly reset my theme is just a horrible experience and makes using this app less intimate. If somehow my review reaches to correct personnel's ears and the issue gets resolved, I will definitely update my review to the 5-STARS that this app welly deserves. But until then, it will have to be a single star for me.

Free trial doesn’t work - Customer Service Unresponsive. They state if you subscribe to the monthly or annual premium service, the first 7 days will be a free trial. I did this but there was no free trial and they charged me directly instead. I canceled immediately and contacted their customer service. However, I received no reply for several weeks now and they just charged me. This is quite deceiving to their customers.

Update the app please. I've been using the app for the past six years, and they never update/improve the app. They only update on emojis, on the things they make money on. 1. We paid for the premium version yet still get ads every single day 2. They should have video chat features like katalk. Like might as well use katalk instead for an android-iPhone couple 3. Hard to use on other platforms such as iPad

They changed there data collection policy. Which I disagree with it and it should not have happened in an app intended for private conversations and communication with your significant other… bad turn around for the app and the company behind it

Disappointed. The main concern with this app that made me to purchase life time membership is privacy and I kept using this for several years . Well , I am totally disappointed with app recently because they keep changing the privacy conditions every few months. I wouldn’t recommend this app because if you agree with their condition , you authorize them to collect all your data informations and messages and also photos !!! and by the way, this app is not END to END app which means that all you photos are saved in their servers !! So weird !! Signal is better alternative and it is end to end app .

Weird Ai chat. I downloaded this to share a calendar with my husband and ended up stuck in a chat with an AI and had the weirdness conversation ever. I am creeped out and deleted the right away.

Photos won’t load :(. I really like this app because it helps keep our memories organized and in one place. I’ve been using it for about a year. However, starting a couple of weeks ago, older photos in the story, specifically those from before May 2025, will not load. This includes both our profile photos and the background photo. I also haven’t been able to find any way to contact customer support for help.. Please fix it please.

Mandatory Rating. Locking the app and forcing users to submit a rating just earned you two stars. Hope it was worth it.

Decent app. The “Couple” app was better before it went away. Developers should definitely look that up and take some of those aspects, especially the simultaneous drawing feature

Love It. Great app, super easy to use. Love organizing our photos and keeping events where we can both see it!

Going downhill - no new features. I’ve used Between with my partner for over 8 years. It was so fun in the beginning with the stickers and occasional celebration free stickers (who remembers the corgi?). But now I feel like there’s nothing for the app to offer. The lack of Ivy and Gray stickers is disappointing. Feels like they haven’t released any in over a year. Everything is just Bunny and Milk stickers and it’s honestly annoying they don’t release stickers of other couples. They released a new fox couple once but then stopped. My biggest issue with the app is that I can’t upload photos to my partner anymore? Not sure if it’s a Between or settings bug but I don’t see the option to allow all photos. A couple versions ago they had a coming soon ai feature but that still isn’t available. Dont show it to users. Its horrible UX to show a feature that users can’t use. I’ll probably just export all my photos and delete this app since it doesn’t offer any more to me vs imessage.

Lost All Old Photos!. Between has been great over the past six years, but recently all my photos older than about one year have failed to render in the app. Reinstalling, signing back in, updating the app, etc. have all been unsuccessful. I even got Between Plus and tried to download my 1900+ photos, but it only let me download the 300 or so that were still rendering in the app. Please help!
