Banned For No Reason. I was banned and no specific reason was given. I don’t know what to appeal because they never said what I did wrong. Also, there are no real people to talk to so the appeal process is a joke.

Dont pay do not waste your money. Payed 70 bucks for one month just to see if anything would be different and at the end of the month i didn’t even have 1 like let alone a message. I was like wow. Deleted and experiment complete paying money does nothing to increase chances.

Somehow broke terms of service when the app wasn’t downloaded on my phone. Met someone on Hinge. Deleted the app. Things didn’t workout so I redownloaded Hinge & tried to log in. Apparently deleting the app is cause for removal from the platform. Tried to appeal, denied. Still waiting for an email with more information on what happened. Honestly wouldn’t recommend the app at this point.

Feels like they want you to stay on the app. I can’t prove it but I swear this app purposely hides me from options since I use the free version cause I sometimes get barely any people messaging me then some random days I get FLOODED with people reaching out. It’s either a lot of people one day or little to none. The lack of consistency makes me think the app is teasing me into showing me the potential of this app’s best features to convince me to pay for the subscription. Mind you I don’t change anything about my profile so it’s just suspicious to me the inconsistency so why I don’t think it’s necessarily my profile that’s the issue. Also sometimes the profiles glitch and disappear when we chat and it only happens when things go well for me, just random little issues here and there that make me question the UX design on the app to annoy people into spending money for a better user experience

Bad app. Most people on the app are chopped, and report u when u reject them so u get banned.

Horrible.. My account recently got banned for insulting a man that had sent me threats. i didn’t even get a warning either, and my appeal was instantly denied. this app is horrible and favors men.

Awful. Got banned, had a lot of matches and they never told me why I got banned. In the month prior, had maybe 2 matches. Maybe said a few messages to them. Just Hi and Hello. Nothing weird. Banned. No explanation.

LOW QUALITY MATCHES/BOTS. convinced 98% accounts are fake. when it comes time to meet, no one will do it. wonder why….

Can’t even get past uploading photos. Would love to use this app, but I can’t get past the fact that it will not load past uploading my photos for my profile

Finding Love Shouldn’t Feel Pay-to-Win. Overall, I feel that Hinge’s pricing is too expensive for what is offered. Having to pay for Hinge+, then pay even more for HingeX just to get better visibility on my profile feels excessive. Dating apps should help people connect, but instead it often feels like important features are locked behind multiple paywalls. One of my biggest frustrations is that free users cannot easily see who likes them. Having to pay just to view likes and potentially match with someone who is already interested feels counterproductive. Instead of making users feel welcomed and excited to meet new people, it can make the experience feel frustrating and even desperate. I also think profiles are too limited. Three prompts are simply not enough space to properly introduce yourself, your personality, values, and what you’re looking for in a relationship. A longer bio section or additional prompts would help people create more meaningful profiles and make better connections. Additionally, the limits on likes and roses feel overly restrictive. I understand that dating apps need to make money, but the free version feels so limited that it becomes difficult to fully enjoy the app or genuinely connect with others. I believe Hinge would create a much better user experience by offering more profile customization, allowing users to express themselves beyond three prompts, reducing some of the restrictions on likes and roses, and making pricing more reasonable. Right now, it feels like too many basic features are locked behind expensive subscriptions.

Dumb app run by dumber people. I got banned from the app from making a comment on someone’s profile. It was an innocent comment that got taken the wrong way because the girl probably forgot what she wrote on her own profile. She complained and I got a lifetime ban just like that. No second chances. Better off meeting people in person anyways. This app is filled with single mothers and girls with massive issues.

Banned permanently w/o explanation. After not using the app for a while, came back to see that I was banned permanently for “breaking TOS”. No specifics beyond that. I read the entire TOS, decided I definitely hadn’t violated any of them, submitted an appeal saying I’d share as much info as I could to be helpful because I didn’t believe I’d done anything to be banned, received a response within a few minutes saying it was final and that no further inquires would be responded to. Now, please don’t fundamental attribution error me here, I have no legal record, I’ve not EVER been disrespectful to anyone on or off the app, I go through life with the express goal of being kind to everyone, I feel badly if I don’t smile/wave back at someone when I pass someone on the street for Christ’s sake. I don’t shake someone’s hand or hug them without asking for their consent. I am my stated age, none of my pics are doctored, I didn’t lie on my profile, etc etc. I cannot fathom what it might have been since Hinge will not tell me what happened. I don’t have any opps but someone must have reported me for something I absolutely did not do. Whatever caused this, Hinge was absolutely not interested in hearing my side of the story. I was banned no questions asked, no real opportunity to clear any confusion. If it can happen to me it can happen to anyone. I’m a very busy person, I was hoping to use Hinge to meet my forever person, but it looks like I’ll have to meet them the old fashioned way after all.

Broken. Last update broke the app. I have to fully log in and out every single time I want to send or receive a message

KEEP GETTING BANNED. It has been extremely frustrating to deal with repeated account removals after being reported by a former partner. My concern is that these reports may have triggered automatic actions without a complete review of the circumstances. Whenever I create a new account, it is quickly removed as well.

Stay away. I wasted $30 - no replies, swipe possibly old profiles, is anyone finding success with this app? I think they control with algorithms who sees your messages and who doesn’t they try to force you to always upgrade as a base package price doesn’t deliver any responses so you’re entitled to spend another 30 or $50 to get an upgrade just to get responses

pay per like scam. They moved the attractive people to "standouts" and keep them there. You have to buy "roses" to like these people. Standouts are supposed to rotate, but they don't. You get one free rose per week, so one like per week, even on the highest paid tier! The normal feed is mostly fat people, if that's your thing.

Hinge is a JOKE. I signed up for this app and all the sudden I get a notification saying my account has been removed for fraudulent or malicious activity. I filed an appeal and sent screen shots of every conversation and everything was appropriate and respectful. I even got two phone numbers because of how well the conversations went. Fortunately when my matches received the email that defamed my character as a Christian and Father I was able to talk to them and show them this must have been a mistake. I filed an appeal and asked for proof of what I did, a screenshot or something, but nope just ban was upheld. I know it was an ex-girlfriend of mine who reported me. It didn’t end well and I guarantee she saw me and reported my profile, she was a very good liar, so I’m sure she cooked up a story. It’s just sad Hinge takes a jealous person’s word over the actual person being accused. Unfortunately 0 stars is not an option.

All the men want nudes. All the men want is nudes and they will report your profile and get it banned when you turn them down. Even if you show the hinge team proof of their messages (both in app and off app) hinge will permanently ban your account. Ladies don’t fall for this predatory app!

Scam, Waste of time and money. The tech support is horrendous. No phone number to call and it takes forever for hinge to email back. Right now I cannot send a like unless I do a comment. This takes forever and ladies are overwhelmed with messages. I havent gotten one response yet. Then I bought 3 roses and again the app isnt working and shows I have zero roses.

Algorithm sucks. The algorithm sucks. The app constantly send you people who you are not interested in to get you to purchase the hinge +. For example, I keep getting profiles of short men.

Banned for no reason. After years of respectful use of this app, I was banned with no explanation. I did not violate the terms of service and they continued to collect my subscription money after the ban was put in place despite me canceling my subscription. I was offered the opportunity to appeal but was provided no details regarding the reason for the ban, so I was unable to defend myself. There are many reports of this happening to others online as well. I would not recommend paying for any services on this app until they publicly address their banning process. You’re essentially excluded from the dating pool in 2026 once banned from this app.

No means NO. The new “Take another look” feature is dumb. When I pass on a profile because I’m not interested, my opinion is not going to be different later. If it’s no today, then it’s still no tomorrow, next week, next month, etc. The app shouldn’t be re-showing profiles which have already been rejected.

Reported by fake account. Fake account reported me and have been single for like 5 years since I got banned thanks definitely not driving me insane thanks

Not good. This is the first time I paid for this app. I paid for Hinge X for one month. It started off good, I was getting matches pretty much everyday the first week. Then after that nothing. Seems like they cap you off with “priority likes.” I did some research and found that other people were experiencing the same thing, almost like the matches were not going through anymore. It’s as if hinge is trying to get people to keep paying more. The experience was weird, especially knowing that others experienced similar things. Anyway that’s the last time I’ll be paying for this app. Also I hate that hinge is requiring biometrics photos now. Ridiculous

Money Grab. After one whole month I got not 1 like, match, or any conversation. I spent money on high subscription and received nothing in return. It is a total waste of money.

Fake Reviews. You’ll get banned for no reason, you’ll get banned for not being interested in someone or ghosting, and you’ll get banned for not using your account daily. If you’re a guy this app will target you for gaining many matches and ban you without an appeal. Unless you pay of course…

Terrible at making just a profile. I can’t even make a profile. My basic pic is not good enough I don’t know if it’s my smile or bangs but I can’t make a profile and it’s ridiculous.

Banned for no reason. My account was permanently banned for no reason, while my profile was paused! Now they’re asking me to show them my license just to appeal. Lol. Ridiculous.

Racist. Quit trying to promote black men with white women, racist people. Disgusting. White women and white men are allowed to date each other and are allowed to be shown and promoted.

Cash Grab. The algorithm could be better. They want you spend more money and time on an app meant to be deleted. But they have to make a profit. Look somewhere else.

Loss of Undo / Back Feature, New Update Sucks. With the new update on Hinge, the app is getting worse instead of better. The app is increasingly becoming pay to use rather than the “free to use” for the casual user. Simple feature such as the undo / back swipe when people accidental swipe past is no longer accessible to the casual free user. This was a stable free to use feature that made the app bearable for those of us who enjoyed using the app without pay features. Hinge taking it away a lot of the free feature and putting it behind a paywall is the same as another popular app Grindr who done similar things. For those people who use it are aware of the apps outrageous amounts of ads and bots. Hinge was once an app that I can recommend to other. It was also one of the app I consider different and provide a unique premium experience to user without paying unlike Tinder, Bumble, etc. However, I’m not so sure of it anymore and now consider 2nd guessing a little bit. For statement above, reverse the Undo / back feature update for swiping as it was always a free feature. However, that is now locked behind paywall (as of June 22, 2026 of this review). I have been a long time casual user who saw many features implemented such as the signal badge, photo verification, prompts updates, ai, etc. all these were mid to good features added.

Very bad. I paid for three months a month ago, and I’ve only spoken to one man; they show you the same profiles you already rejected—I wasted my money.

Terrible. I honestly feel like I should receive compensation from this app for waiting my time

Too many limits. There are too many limitations on how many people you can like or backtrack. I can barely spent time on app due to the limits, so I have to use other apps like Bumble. I’m not paying extra just to give likes, which is the whole point of the app.

Horrifically Bias !!. My account was live for less than an hour and got reported because I wrote that I voted for Trump , this was 8 months ago and never was able to recover the profile . I submitted an appeal and even tried a different email with the same results . This app isn’t for conservatives it’s for the blue haired Kamala community
