Rating: Invoice makers

Intuit QuickBooks for Business

authentic rating

QuickBooks is a full accounting system, not an invoice maker. It's not really the right fit for this niche: users come for tax accounting and integrations, not for fast invoice creation. The mobile client is degrading: constant freezes on load, a broken expense module, and a black camera screen for receipts. The invoicing piece works, but it's wrapped inside a heavy ERP with an unstable app.

About the rating

storeAvg 4.73 with textAvg 2.36 and 23% five-star ratings a strong gap. But with 248K ratings and a well-known brand, quiet five-star raters accumulate easily over 25 years. No signs of fake reviews, the tone of 1-3 star reviews is specific and consistent.

Strengths

What users love

  • Sync with the web version lets you close a deal in the field and invoice immediately. Bank integration speeds up payment reconciliation.
Weak spots

What users hate

  • The expense module was rewritten so the old flow (photo a receipt
  • Log the expense) is now split into two steps with a wait for AI processing. Some vendors don't load in the dropdown (only A through F).

Who it is for

Accountants and small businesses that need full bookkeeping with tax reporting, not just an invoicing tool.
