The most content-rich sleep story app: hundreds of stories, several narrators, and customizable nature sounds. Users with chronic insomnia and PTSD report a sustained effect after years of use. Weak spots are the overwhelming dominance of one voice and the absence of a playback queue.

What people use it for
People with insomnia who need a stream of new stories rather than repeating the same track every night.
What reviews praise
- Variety of stories and regular updates.
- The ability to layer nature sounds over narration.
- A quiet, gradually fading music bed under each track.
What reviews complain about
- Nearly the entire catalog is narrated by one person, and those for whom his voice doesn't work have almost no alternatives.
- Background loops cycle too briefly and are perceptible subconsciously.
What users experience

I have been a slumber user since the slumber app had its first sleep story. As someone with genetic chronic sleep issues, this app is a must. For anyone with sleep problems, slumber has guided me through nights of pain, extreme insomnia, and distress.
I really love this app for how often it puts out new content and how fast the team responds. I also love that there is ambient noise you can adjust or add to the meditations. The combination of a new story plus adjustable sound keeps me coming back.
