An editorial reading of the saved reviews

The official parkrun app: run history, participant QR code, event search nearby. The parkrun community itself is the core value. The app is an interface to that community, but data sync breaks periodically.

What people use it for

A parkrun community member who wants a convenient QR code on their phone and a history of their finishes.

What reviews praise

  • The built-in participant QR code eliminates the paper barcode.
  • Searching for parkrun events worldwide is fast.
  • Milestone badge progress display is motivating.

What reviews complain about

  • New locations appear with a delay of several weeks after opening.
  • Data sync sometimes fails: history disappears after reinstalling.
  • No Apple Wallet barcode integration for scanning from a watch.
